LIBERTY HEAD GOLD COINS
The rare coins that are Liberty Head gold coins have a long and rich history within U.S. coinage. They are now a classic gold investment. The $10 Liberty Head gold coin was minted in 1838 when $10 coinage recommenced following the discontinuation of the $10 ‘Draped Bust’ gold coin in 1804. Three revised designs of the $10 Liberty Head Gold Coin followed over the next 69 years. The $5 Liberty Head gold coin was minted in 1839, and the $2.5 Liberty Head gold coin followed in 1940. The $2.5 Liberty Head had the least design modifications of all denominations. The $20 Liberty Head was minted in 1850 and was the last of the Liberty Head coins to be minted. These rare coins make a fantastic gold investment.
